Good News for schools that subscribe to the Devon Maintenance Partnership (DMP) Agreement
2014/2015 will be the last year of the current DMP agreement and NPS can report that schools will be receive a lower premium for the final year.
Currently the Core premium is £11.40 per pupil but this will be reduced to £10.00 per pupil for the last year as agreed with SOCA (Schools Organisation, Capital and Admissions Group) The additional charge of £1.00 per pupil remains for schools with mains gas or LPG to their sites.
It has been possible to reduce the premium due to underspends that have been made in the previous 4 operating years and a further rebate will be given to schools later in 2014 once the 2013/2014 accounts have been agreed and the rebate calculated.
NPS, DCC and representatives from schools will be working on the replacement DMP scheme which needs to be effective from 1st April 2015.
