Parliamentary Debate on Fair Funding for Schools

In the last DAPH Update we reported that there would be a Parliamentary Debate taking place on 29 April, entitled "Fair Schools Funding and the f40 Campaign".  Hansard coverage of the debate is now available.

Robin Walker MP, Vice Chair of the f40 group of low funded authorities said after the debate, "Feedback from the Minister was very positive and I think she showed in her response that they had really taken on board our concerns.  As ever, debates do not change policy but they can help to inform it".

Our Children their future is a campaign and conversation which has been launched recently by the National Primary Heads (NPH) and is designed to help create a tide of public opinion that will force, through its size and universality, a far more accountable and respectful attitude from government towards the teaching profession and the children and communities they serve.

Please take a few moments to contribute to this campaign by adding your comments and encourage as many colleagues, children, governors and perhaps most critically, parents and the wider community through newsletters, personal recommendations or social media to take part. It is great to see that Matt and the team at Woolsery Primary School have already contributed!
