With the Summer holidays now nearing an end we have some upcoming events to inform you about, including the next GAT luncheon, the new STEP 2015/16 lecture series and the latest events with Guernsey Finance.

The States are asking you to undertake a survey for their cyber-security review and the deadline for the GFSC Sentinel project is 31 October. We would ask that anyone not actively assisting with this should contact them, if you wish to take part.

STEP Latam GF are seeking support for the STEP LatAm Conference taking place in Sao Paulo, Brazil on 22-23 October 2015. The aim of this event is to support the international practitioner working with Latin American clients by establishing a strong peer networking platform between local and foreign practitioners, and be the source of leading edge information in the financial world of Latin American Trusts and Estate Planning.

Recently you were asked to get involved in the Consultation on Beneficial Ownership.  We are pleased to provide you with the GAT response. Please click here to view.

In addition, GAT members also took part in the consultation about Enable Using Technology for Due Diligence Purposes and you can see our response here.
The deadline for the GFSC Sentinel Project to go live is 31st October 2015.

GAT members have been highly active with this project, participating in the testing of this system with 8 different businesses being involved. 

If there is anyone who wishes to get involved with the final tests please contact Ben Looijenga, Senior Project and Change Manager at the GFSC on 712706.
The Income Tax Office have been approached by HMRC to request them to create greater awareness of the Annual Tax on Enveloped Dwellings (ATED) regime.

The ITO have asked GAT to circulate the attached note which helps explain the tax and the relevant periods which apply.
