Summary of DAPH Autumn Briefing
7th November 2013
Sandy Park Conference Centre Exeter

Thank you to everyone who attended last week's Briefing event. Early feedback reveals that the mix of keynote speakers, sandwiched with updates on school finding and SEND Pathfinder provided both informative and motivational picks for all.
A summary of Russell's speech and presentations on funding and SEND Pathfinder are available below.

A high number of questions and points for clarification were raised in relation to the roll out of SEND across Devon. Whilst some of these issues were addressed on the day, we have forwarded all questions submitted from the floor on to John Peart and Sally Slade. This will help to inform a set of FAQs and we shall publish responses as soon as available.

Schools must comply with the conditions set out below:
  • The grant must be spent by maintained schools on improving the provision of PE and sport for the benefit of pupils registered at that school so that all pupils develop healthy lifestyles.
  • Maintained schools must publish, on their website, information about their use of the PE and Sport Grant allocation by 4 April 2014. Schools should publish the amount of grant received; how it has been spent (or will be spent) and what impact the school has seen on pupils' PE and sport participation and attainment as a result, to help to ensure that all pupils develop healthy lifestyles.
